It's time to get all spooky....

Halloween is almost upon us, and the nights are drawing in - don't forget to put them clocks back on Saturday night everyone it felt like night-time still when I woke up at 7.30 this morning....ugh!

Here are a couple of snippets from Halloween wraps to get you in the spooky mood....

- I'm pleased to say that these have just been sold to a customer in the US too, so look out for them next year...YAY! :D

****Have a good one everyone...whatever you're up to.****

Twit-twooooooo

I thought I'd have a little go at an owl design (seeing as they still seem to be doing well in the popularity stakes!). Here's a sneaky peek at a bit of a birthday wrap I've been working on:

Baby, baby...

After weeks of working on Christmas, it's nice to do a bit of Everyday designing again...this week I'm working on some baby designs - something I haven't done for a long time. Here's a sneaky peek at a new wrap I've created....

- this little duckling's in for a shower....a baby shower!

Lots of lovely things to inspire...

Hello! I hope you all had a lovely weekend - I had quite a jam-packed one; visiting family and friends, but also getting a little bit inspired too. On Friday I headed up to Manchester for the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair which was fab! It was also extra nice because I got to meet up with an old friend from my college days who I've not seen for about 3 years! We just picked it up where we left off; it was as if we'd only seen each other a week ago...not years. :) Don't you just love it when that happens? Ahhhh....good times! :)

Here's a few of my favourites from the show.......

- a wonderful wire artist who created intricate scenes and tea-party themed pieces. Especially impressive was a scene of an ornate building which apparently took 5 weeks to complete; now that's dedication for you! :)

- I loved, loved, loved these quirky characters - the piece on the left - 'I spy' was my favourite. :)

- some pretty  wall art that I was very nearly tempted to treat myself to...the 'Sing' artwork shown on the bottom left being my favourite....hmmmm - I wonder if Santa's listening?! :D

- yep; another bird-related item...these were really fun and bright.

- and these unusual rings really caught my eye too; simply beautiful!

- and last but not least, some pretty, pretty lights.

Oh dear, oh deer....

- how I have neglected my poor little blog over the past month....so, so sorry; I hope it's not made all my lovely readers out there lose interest. I had all good intentions to keep on with regular posts, but it's been a pretty busy time....work deadlines, decorating (I know - still!) and other bits and bobs...but, I promise I'll be back and regularly from today....

I thought I'd share a little pic of my first effort at a Jamie Oliver pizza base; I've been wanting to have a go at one of these for ages (yet another thing put on the backburner for a while...can you see a trend here?!) and here it is....ta-dahhhhh!

....not bad for a first effort, I reckon :) After a small panic at the 'well' stage I don't think I did too badly really. Now I have lots of lovely bases stored in the freezer to have as and when I please :D

On the work front, it's been very busy, with lots of deadlines to work to. I had a go at some new Christmas foil designs the other week but quite liked the outcome on the foiled sheet itself....

- the actual design was a reverse of this.

Anyway, I'm back and I hope you all have a lovely weekend...come back next week for more updates :)

Lost in a sea of traditional

So sorry for my erratic posting at the mo....I've been feeling rather under the weather since my last update; full of cold, so I've been on slow-mo for the last week. :( As a result my new designs  have been taking an age...I hate it when that happens; staring at the same design, day after day...ugh! Anyway, here's a sneak peek at  what I've been up to (finished at last...hurrah!) Now to move onto something more fun and hopefully less time-consuming!

Happy weekend everyone......I'm finally getting to paint my study tomorrow - YAY! :D
