A happy find! :)
I've taken a break from the home textiles for now, but I was just browsing the net and suddenly remembered....I wonder if my designs are out in La Redoute yet? Lo and behold, there they were, and it looks like they've done a fab job of creating them! I sold these roughly a year ago, so it's really lovely to see them out there at last! Click here for more details on the bird design, and here for the football one.

Hoping for a brighter weekend....
Well....Bakewell was a washout yesterday, and I think it must have scared all the shoppers away (and who can blame them, eh?) It was certainly a dreary old one....here's to better weather for Saturday when I'll be there once again; I hear it's going to warm up for the weekend at least....fingers crossed we can manage a bit of sunshine too!
The Craft Fair will be taking place this coming Saturday (December 5th) in Bakewell, Derbyshire at Brigade Hall between 10.30 and 4.....so come along if you can;lots of lovely unique gifts to buy for Christmas! :)

Peak Fair preparations....
It's an exciting weekend for me this weekend, as I will be showing my artwork at a craft fair in Bakewell....it's the first biggy I've done, so I'm hoping it'll be good. I will be selling a selection of limited edition prints for kids, so if you're in the area, then why not drop in and see if there's anything you might like for that special Christmas gift. The craft fair is running all weekend, but I will be there on Sunday only. Here's a little taster of what you will find.....
- Would be lovely to see you! :)

Look who just joined me! :)
Well, this never normally happens, but my cat just decided to join me at my desk....jumped straight up; no prompting from me - usually she stays away (the white monster is her nemesis!! aka the laptop! :) ) But, however, it was only a short time before she decided it wasn't that much fun after all, and found a cosier resting place.....
I'm working on amendments at the mo, so I don't blame her.....I've seen it all before too! :)

From a doodle to a finished piece....
I thought I'd end the week with a little insight into the way I work....I've been doing lots of sketching this week; here is an example of how it leads to the finished article........
...still a few little finishing touches to make on this one, but it's almost there!
Now that I have a backlog of sketches to work with, I'm hoping that it'll be a productive week next week.
Have a fab weekend. :)

Another stormy ol' day
I'm not lovin' this weather at the mo, I have to say......dull, dreary and VERY, very windy - whatever happened to the calm, foggy mornings of Novembers gone by, eh?
I took these pictures on my phone earlier - it doesn't quite do the intensity of colour justice, but you can kinda get the idea....
You know what they say though..........................................................................
......red sky in the morning....! :{

Just because....
...aren't these pretty window displays? Just thought I'd share....it was a lovely shop - full of trinkets and treats; particularly loved all the hearts.

In-store now......
Just thought I'd share with you a couple of designs that will be adorning the shelves in America this Christmas....
- they were purchased for Walmart earlier this year; let me know if anyone spots them! :)

Rob Ryan
Wow - it's a drab ol' day today...luckily we managed to steal some sunshine yesterday and headed off up to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I've only been there once before, but loved it, and when I heard that Rob Ryan had just opened an exhibition there, I thought what better excuse to go there again. It was FAB - couldn't get over how intricate the designs were when you got up close and personal....wow - that man must suffer from some SERIOUS scalpel finger!! :) Truly beautiful work!
...stumbled across this little gem too - made me smile. :)
There were lots of goodies available in the gift shop - I wanted to buy them all! In the end though, I treated myself to the accompanying book 'You Can Still Do A Lot With A Small Brain' and a fab sheet of wrapping paper, which I plan to frame. I definitely recommend the trip....it's well worth it!
Walking round the grounds...........................................................................
.....I love trees! :)...stumbled across this little gem too - made me smile. :)

Wow - it's been a whirlwind of a couple of weeks; hence my absence - sorry; it's been non-stop! Soooooo ready for a lovely, relaxing weekend now. The main feature in the work calendar has been wraps.....wraps, wraps and more wraps!! So, here's a little summary of my week and a half:

New month....new calendar!
I can't believe it's November already...where is the time going?? Anyway, it's time for another calendar to get me super-organised; this time featuring my cat! :) Bonfire night soon - YAY!
We had a lovely weekend - on Halloween night we visited Matlock Bath, where they have a large boat parade and illuminations every year; some of the entries were great - even WALL:E featured (LOVE him!). I'll pop some pictures up later in the week, but here's a little fellow I found perched outside a hotel....unfortunately, by the time I reached him, his light had gone out...thought he looked kinda cute sat amongst the foliage though, so took a pic.
