Keeping on with the 'love' theme this week, I came up with this quick valentines design the other day...sweet treats for your loved ones! :)

It's only a couple of days until my agent takes off to the US again for another selling spree fingers and toes crossed for the selling bit!! so it's busy, busy, busy, trying to get all the last little bits done before he leaves. Here's a peek at another recent addition to my collection...he's very jolly! :)

Lost in a sea of traditional

So sorry for my erratic posting at the mo....I've been feeling rather under the weather since my last update; full of cold, so I've been on slow-mo for the last week. :( As a result my new designs  have been taking an age...I hate it when that happens; staring at the same design, day after day...ugh! Anyway, here's a sneak peek at  what I've been up to (finished at last...hurrah!) Now to move onto something more fun and hopefully less time-consuming!

Feeling colder

Ooooh, it's chilly today; you can certainly tell Autumn's on it's way....and then, of course, after Autumn comes Winter....booooo! :(

A scary concept, I know, but it won't be too long before this cheery fellow will be busy at work, delivering his presents...

....I've already spotted a few Christmas designs creeping into our shops - I'm sure it gets earlier every year! Only 14 weeks and 4 days to go...(!)

 - this little one's found a home in the US - yippee!! I'm so pleased as I loved creating her. :D

My one minute of fame.....

- Look! look! - this is my little niece appearing on CBeebies last Monday; it was her 1st birthday a week ago, and we sent in a card featuring all her favourite CBeebies characters... 

We were so pleased that it made it on to the small screen; there was even a big thank you mention to Aunty Emma for making the card...ahhh, I was made up :)

- that's what I am at the mo...working on lots of new pop-ups (yikes!) ; one of which will involve this lickle fellow. Wish me luck! :)

With World Cup fever well and truly under way, and Father's Day coming up on Sunday, I thought it quite apt to be working on a football design. Take a look.....

- Here's wishing England a whole load of luck for tonight's game (it's gotta be better than last week's game, huh??)  C'mon guys; do it for all the English dads, if nothing else....it'd make their Father's Day complete! :)

Happy Birthday Gran!

It was my Gran's birthday over the weekend, and when it comes to cards she always likes to receive a handmade edition from me, as opposed to a bought one.....this time I had a bit of a play around with a photograph to create a pretty floral illustration for her.....

I printed the design onto tracing paper to give it a lovely soft feel, layered it up with card, and then added a pretty spring green ribbon to finish. She loved it! :)

From a doodle to a finished piece....

I thought I'd end the week with a little insight into the way I work....I've been doing lots of sketching this week; here is an example of how it leads to the finished article........

...still a few little finishing touches to make on this one, but it's almost there!

Now that I have a backlog of sketches to work with, I'm hoping that it'll be a productive week next week.
