Ending the week on a high

I love it when I get things finished at the end of a working week - makes me enjoy the weekend sooooo much more; no guilty feelings or dread of having to face the same piece of artwork for another day - can start the new week with fresh eyes and new ideas; yippeeee!! Here's a little set I've just completed (well; a glimpse at least!)

It's promising to be another fun weekend too; filled with lots more family time and a bucketful of vintage loveliness - I cannot wait!! Enjoy yours, whatever you may up to x x x

Ooops...I did it again! :-/

All good intentions and yet here I am again leaving it endless weeks before reposting - I hope I still have some of you with me out there...it can be a lonely blogging world sometimes! Anyway, hands full with a toddler in tow, and one of the various reasons why I don't always keep up-to-date on here, I thought I'd share with you some pics from my little one's room - I really enjoyed getting the paintbrushes out (going back to my roots, so to speak!) and creating a height chart for her wall....here's a step-by-step peek at my creation; what do you think?? I'm very pleased to say that she LOVES it! YaY! :D

And here are a few little friends I created for her too....along with bunting by Nana!

An achievement

Well, I managed to get some more designs completed over the weekend, whilst also snatching  a bit of time out in the garden, so that was a bonus, but, the real achievement was this......

- I managed to create a graphic tree (just a snippet shown here) along with a stocking design, solely in...........
illustrator!
Anyone who knows me will appreciate this, as I usually do everything in photoshop.....or, do a teeny-tiny bit in illustrator before pulling it back in to photoshop to finish it off, but nope - I persevered. So, hooray for me! :) They're going to be luxury foil designs (hence the flat colour), so should look great once mocked up...

December calendar

Ooops - a little delayed, I know, but here's my new calendar of the month; ready to adorn my wall later...another little bit of Christmassy-ness for you all! :D

From a doodle to a finished piece....

I thought I'd end the week with a little insight into the way I work....I've been doing lots of sketching this week; here is an example of how it leads to the finished article........

...still a few little finishing touches to make on this one, but it's almost there!

Now that I have a backlog of sketches to work with, I'm hoping that it'll be a productive week next week.

Have a fab weekend. :)

All that glistens.......is frosty!

Hey...back onto Christmas again - though these were just recolours...I've no idea why it seems to take longer than creating a design from scratch sometimes! Hmmmm...puzzling! Anyway, here's a sneak peak at what I've been up to:

Finished....at last!

Hurrah - I got there in the end! :) I've been getting back into Christmas again, after a long break from it; here's a little taster of my latest works.....

I'm hoping to have a productive week, so there should be more traditional Christmas designs to come....watch this space! :)
