A little first....

Whilst I've been absent from my blogging life, I've still managed to fit a few bits of work in here and there between the nappy changes etc ;).....one very exciting commission I received earlier this year was from Papercrafter magazine - I've never done any work for a magazine before, so I was thrilled to hear from them, and the fact that it would be out for everyone to see here in the UK made it even more satisfying! Each month the magazine features a 'Designer Papers' collection, and this month I made my debut....I'm really pleased with how they've turned out, and even more pleased that a little Christmas crafting project using my designs is actually featured on the front page. Here are a few snippets for you to see...I thoroughly enjoyed working on it; here's hoping it'll be the first of many :D

 - The 'Designer Papers' Studio Selection....featuring my paisley design on the front cover

 - pictures from the magazine featuring a Christmas tree tabletop project, and a Christmas tree card created using my papers.

 - and the lovely moment I saw my name in print :D

A whistle stop tour..

..well, as the title suggests, it's certainly been a period of flitting from one thing to the other over the last couple of weeks; revisiting existing designs to create new scrapbooking pieces from Christmas...

...to juvenile...

...to wedding...

...to feminine florals...

....and everything in between!

But, now I can finally say it's all done, and I can move onto something new - hoorah! - a good way to begin the new week methinks! :)

Hooray for the weekend!!!

Well, I'm officially frazzled......but smiling inside like the happy little flower shown below as I've had a super-productive week and can now take a well earned weekend off, completely guilt-free - HOORAY!

*****Have a great weekend everyone!!*****

More patterns for the scrapbook...

It's been all work and no play this weekend as I've been trying to make some headway on these scrapbooking designs....actually...tell a lie - I  did manage to squeeze in a couple of sessions on the new Michael Jackson game for the wii at least (one of my Christmas present highlights! :D)  Here's a glimpse of a few co-ordinates I've been working on....

...I'm now down to a mere 65 left to go...*sigh*

This week I've been mostly working on.......

scrapbooking!?! This is a first for me (hence the question mark!), so I've been a little bit like a fish out of water, but I'm gradually getting the hang of it (I hope?) Its certainly going to be a busy ol' couple of weeks, with 10 sets to complete for a forthcoming show, I've certainly got my hands full!

Here's a little look at what I've been up to so far...see what you think:

- this is just a small selection from the first set I've put together....with 2 sets down there's only another 96 pieces to go - YIKES!!!!

Wish me luck! ;)

I'm soooooo excited!!!

Woo-hoooo....the day has finally arrived - Sex And The City 2 lands on the big screens over here in the UK today, and I cannot wait!!! :D

I'm off with the girls tonight for a fabulous evening of cocktails and viewing pleasure, as we all attend the specially themed night at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham - thank goodness we got in there quick and booked our tickets - it's a sell-out!!

So, with that in mind, here are a couple of oldies but goodies I created for the home furnishings market:

 - This is a snapshot of a design that has now sold for wall stickers / borders here in the UK (created back in 2008)

 - and a bit of glamour for the girlies; this design has been rather popular - selling in both the US (for borders, bedding and wallpaper) and the UK (for scrapbooking). You can view the scrapbooking design here.

So, whether you're a big Sex And The City fan or not, I hope you all have a fabulous Bank Holiday weekend everyone -  let the fun begin! :D
