Keep on crafting!

As well as my core designing work I have been continuing on the craft fair side of things too....usually our stall consists of lots of lovely things that I have designed, but have been lovingly sewn and put together by the fabulous Elizabeth and Ruth. For our latest fair, however, I added a few printed items to the mix...all designed and created by moi; these have been well received and yesterday my first mailing of a framed piece arrived happily with it's new owner....here's a little looky:

- I have one more left, and hoping that it will find a new home when I will be manning the stall again; this time in Ashby-de-la-Zouch - click here for more details. If you would like to know more about my little ventures with Ree-Stitch, then please click on the link in the right hand column or here...

When I created the design I liked it so much that I thought it might be quite nice to create a Christmas equivalent in the hope that it would be licensed....I'm happy to say it has just been sold this week, over in the good ol' US of A; here's a sneaky peek at it:

A lovely time at the craft fair

Hellooo, how are you all today? Thought I'd fill you in on how everything went at the weekend....
It was busy, busy, busy here in the run up to Sunday; sorting out business cards, labelling things up, framing prints, etc, etc, and up until Saturday I hadn't even seen all the lovely makes by our very talented Ree-Stitch seamstress Elizabeth, only a few snapshots, so waited patiently with anticipation for their arrival....well, I was not disappointed (even if I do say so myself!!) - they were better than I could have ever imagined - hurrah for Elizabeth - you're an absolute star!!! Here's a few pictures of our stall for you to see....it was a beautiful sunshiny day!

We had lots of interest, and lots of lovely feedback, and many people came and took our business cards etc....hoping it will bring some further enquiries in soon as we had a few people asking us about customised designs based on the letters trio.....all very exciting!!

I was busily snapping away at the stock yesterday, so have a little look on my facebook page (click the Ree-Stitch link over on the right hand side of this page) to view all of our lovely products...hope to see you over there peeps! ;)

Countdown to the craft fair

Hi everyone, just thought I'd let you know about a new venture that I've been busily preparing for -  as well as my usual work and looking after babba I have also been designing layouts and motifs for cushions...this is quite the family affair, as while I've been busily designing, my mother-in-law has been busily sewing, with some help and assistance from sis-in-law too....the collaboration is working well and we have our first official event this Sunday - at Barton Marina - just off the A38 outside Burton-on-Trent. If you're local, then why not come along and see us - the place makes for a great family day out ;)

Pop over to our facebook page to have a proper look at what we've been up to....and if you're a Facebook user, you may even want to 'like' and 'share'....

Wish us luck!!x x x

Sock

Hi everyone...hope you all had a lovely weekend; it's a shame the glorious sunshine decided to hide away for the majority of it....and now we're all at the beginning of the new working week it's arrived again; typical eh? However, we still managed to get out and about; yesterday visiting Sock at Loughborough Town Hall - lots of great artists and makers were featured, so there was lots of temptation to buy....ooooh - if only I had a few more pennies to spare right now! Sigh.....

Here are a few that caught my eye....

Gorgeous ceramics and brooches from Katie Almond

Beautifully handmade jewellery by Helen Shere

And pretty prints by Helen Rhodes

I did manage to pick up a little treat for myself though....this beautiful little jug from the very talented Helen Hallows; as a lover of all things dotty it was too good to resist! :)

- She creates lots of other lovely things besides....check out her blog here

Hoping for a brighter weekend....

Well....Bakewell was a washout yesterday, and I think it must have scared all the shoppers away (and who can blame them, eh?) It was certainly a dreary old one....here's to better weather for Saturday when I'll be there once again; I hear it's going to warm up for the weekend at least....fingers crossed we can manage a bit of sunshine too!

The Craft Fair will be taking place this coming Saturday (December 5th) in Bakewell, Derbyshire at Brigade Hall between 10.30 and 4.....so come along if you can;lots of lovely unique gifts to buy for Christmas! :)

Peak Fair preparations....

It's an exciting weekend for me this weekend, as I will be showing my artwork at a craft fair in Bakewell....it's the first biggy I've done, so I'm hoping it'll be good. I will be selling a selection of limited edition prints for kids, so if you're in the area, then why not drop in and see if there's anything you might like for that special Christmas gift. The craft fair is running all weekend, but I will be there on Sunday only. Here's a little taster of what you will find.....

- Would be lovely to see you! :)
